Common questions
Is VATSIM required to join QFV?
Yes — VATSIM is mandatory for all QFV pilots. Every flight must be conducted on the VATSIM network. Register free at vatsim.net/join.
How long does my application take?
Applications are reviewed within 24–48 hours. You'll receive an email with your Pilot ID and CrewHub login once approved. Check your spam folder.
How do I advance in rank?
Log flights through the ACARS or CrewHub. Each flight requires a SimBrief OFP. Rank advances automatically: R2 at 10 flights, R3 at 25, R4 at 50, R5 at 100 + staff endorsement.
Which aircraft can I fly?
Rank-locked: R1 B737-800 · R2 A321XLR · R3 A330-200/300 · R4 B787-9 · R5 A380-800. Supported add-ons: PMDG, Fenix, FlyByWire, iniBuilds (Qantas fleet only).
How do I join the Military Wing?
You need at least Rank R2 and must submit a separate Military Wing application through CrewHub support. Reviewed by the Director of Military.
Is SimBrief required for every flight?
Yes. A SimBrief OFP is mandatory for every flight that counts toward rank. Link your SimBrief username in CrewHub → Settings.
How do I reset my password?
On the CrewHub login page, click "Forgot password?" and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check spam.
How do I delete my account (GDPR)?
Submit a ticket with category "Account / Privacy (GDPR)" and request data deletion. All your data will be permanently removed within 7 days per our GDPR obligations.
Can I be in both civilian and military?
Yes. Military Wing membership is in addition to your civilian rank — both track separately and you continue progressing in both simultaneously.
What simulators are supported?
MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, X-Plane 11, X-Plane 12, Prepar3D v4/v5, and FSX. All flights must be on VATSIM regardless of simulator.
